SB1030 has a hearing scheduled, but only written testimony will be accepted.
SB1030 would expand the current 'Voter Intimidation' laws to include simply carrying a gun or weapon (such as a baton) within 250 feet of a voting area or drop box.

Message from SRGC Legislative Director: Kevin Cole
To the SRGC 2A Community.
Now that the election season is over, and the Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays are
approaching everyone should take some time and relax with family, reflect on the past couple of
years and refocus on the way-ahead.
The legislative session starts 15 Jan 25 and runs thru 1 May 25.
They will try to compensate for what they lost nationally, locally.
All of our groups need to work together in order to preserve our Constitutional rights and to
educate society as a whole about the importance of the 2A.
I will be contacting the NRA about legislation activity and training. Also, I encourage folks who
are members of similar groups to do the same.
I will be posting an updated list of elected officials very soon for you to use to contact them if you wish.
Throughout the upcoming term, you may contact your reps directly via email, Zoom, or in-person.
Please remember to be respectful and be firm.
